Samantha choose to have an outdoor Family / Maternity Photoshoot in the Peak District with her growing family this March. The weather was a little changeable, but we managed to capture some precious family moments, and we even had some sunny spells.
Natural Family photography for us is about capturing the real essence of a family bond. And that is why we encourage family portraits to take place in the great outdoors. Whether it be at a local park, your favourite picnic spot, or the glorious Peak District. It’s always best when working with children not to confine them to a small space, and to allow them to move and play freely (works well with the big kids too).Read More
Ahhh Laura & Dan's Peak District Pre Wedding Portraits... It was such a pleasure hanging out with these two love birds for their pre-wedding shoot. Both are fellow sheffieldiers and lovers of the Peak District, so it was a no-brainer that we went for a little wonder around the place that we share a mutual love for.
I've personally known Laura quite a long time, we are good friends and we have worked together many times. Laura is the brain child of Anchor & Dashand she is a super sweet & lovely soul. Laura got in-touch just after their engagement (which we were over the moon about) and asked us if we would be their wedding photographers (obviously we said yes!).
Laura & Dan are having an intimate wedding in the Scottish Highlands March 2019.
During their pre wed we walked around Ringinglow and through Lady Cannings, and we got to see red deer (which made it extra special). We then finished off in The Norfolk Arms - the perfect end to a lovely afternoon.
Laura & Dan are such a lovely couple and they totally compliment one-another, we are just delighted to be the ones who get to document their growing love story.
We are now very much looking forward to their wedding!
I was recently away for a few days in Birmingham and during my stay I had a day to just potter, so I thought it would be the perfect time to go and visit the Birmingham Botanical Gardens (it's been on my list for a little bit).
It's been a while since I have photographed anything for a personal project, apart from holiday snaps of course, but there's something special about taking your camera along to a place that brings you joy, and having no expectations of what needs to be photographed and no shot list to adhere to (hurrah).
I spent most of the day at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, observing all of the different plants and birds. Below are some photographs I took of inside the tropical greenhouses, arid houses, Subtropical and Mediterranean houses, outside in the Japanese garden, greenery and nature reserve.
I was really impressed with this place and enjoyed the time I spent here. If you haven't yet been to Birmingham Botanical Gardens then I highly recommend you visit. It's an educational charity so there is a general admission fee of £7.50 per person.
Getting to Know Paige + George during their Sheffield Peak District Engagement Session was a lot of fun. It was like meeting with familiar friends and going for a stroll in one of our favourite spots, a mutual favourite.
We are suckers for a good love story and Paige + George's is one of true strength and love...
Paige is from a small town in West Texas called Garden City, where she grew up on a cotton farm, and George is from Broom, England right next to Stratford-upon-Avon, the home of Shakespeare! The pair met in September of 2014, at a training program in Houston, Texas for an engineering firm, that they both worked for.
Paige + George describe their ‘togetherness’ as a crazy whirlwind romance where they were inseparable right from the start. So I think Stanage Edge definitely represented this (it was a crazy windy day, but stunningly beautiful), and it’s the place where George proposed to Paige this July… Paige describes the day as “perfect.”
Paige + George will be having a Summer wedding in the Cotswolds. And due to living at different sides of the pond they had to have a long distance relationship for around 2 years, so they can't wait to start their lives together in England very soon! And we are totally excited for them to start their beautiful journey together and we cannot wait to document their beautiful wedding.
